BBB is super well known and loved in Oxford. It 's a go to spot for breakfast if you can beat the morning crowd, which we did, arriving around 8 a.m. The food was incredible, as always. My 'Secret History ' omelet (a nod to Donna Tartt? was excellent, flavorful and the texture was fabulous. The grits rivaled my husband 's which is saying something. The coffee was hot and the service was good. Our waiters were accommodating, congenial and friendly. The ONLY drawback and it was uncomfortable was the woeful and loud music on the sound system. The breakfast at this restaurant is absolutely incredible and delicious. You must not miss this place! My sister-in-law recommended it to us, and we were not disappointed. I am grateful that I do not live closer because I can see myself coming here every week. The hot coffee was amazing, the cookies were light and fluffy, and the hashbrowns were perfectly crispy. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast entrees, from the skillfully made omelettes to the biscuit breakfast sandwich and the delicious sausage burrito. The absolute best southern breakfast I've ever eaten. Fabulous home made biscuits. Perfect poached eggs. They smoke their own bacon which is the best I've ever tasted. Grits are creamy and perfectly seasoned. Everything melts in ones mouth. Service was spot on. I rarely give a 5 star rating but this warm and relaxing breakfast and brunch cafe was outstanding. If I'm ever in or near Oxford again, I'll most assuredly be eating there. BTW, Books on the Square is a wonderfully old fashioned bookstore with great selections in all genres.
I'll be honest, my wife likes to eat here. I think there are better places in oxford to get breakfast. that means the service was never a demolition. the young ladies do it=n excellent work that takes care of everyone. my wife went with the avocado toast this trip, I have a standard two eggs with speck, and cookies / gravy. Wife felt that she was hard to handle with the arugula, but outside of it she enjoyed it. my meal was okay. I think you can get better cookies in town. we'll eat here again and again as long as my wife enjoys.

We arrived at 2 o'clock on Sunday, so don't expect to be seated right away. Be prepared for a wait for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. The staff was friendly but efficient. The menu offers a great selection and the food quality is good. The black coffee is also quite good. I was hoping for a cold brew, but unfortunately they were out. This restaurant is popular in Oxford, but for us it's more of a once in a while spot during our free time.
My brother and I stopped in at this location and I have to tell you that this place is great . The food was delicious and reasonably priced...the staff was friendly and attentive. Great coffee too. You probably don 't understand love until you 've had Big Bad Breakfast. With near perfect food, the nicest and most talented staff, and the same feel-good vibes you get after watching movies like 'Ferris Bueller 's Day Off ' or 'La LA Land '; I do not know a better place for breakfast.
There were a lot of elderly couples at this restaurant, which is a good sign. Older people tend to stick to what they know and like, so seeing them at a restaurant is always a positive indicator. Big Bad Breakfast is a great spot for a tasty meal and a lasting love.

Really unique breakfast spot in Oxford. Great place to nurse a hangover, or even get started on one with their **** marys. The breakfast skillet was really good, and the biscuits and gravy was as well. Moderate prices. Great service.
DELICIOUS. Can’t recommend the Chicken Waffles enough...great value for great food!
