I have dined here 4 times in the past 3 months. I have been working here in Oxford on a temporary job contract so I eat out often. What do I like about Oxford Grillehouse? The food is excellent. I have ordered both filet and the catfish Mary which areboth excellent dishes. I have no complaints at all about the food quality. What do I not like? The Bar service does not meet theexpectations one would have when dining in a restaurant of this caliber. We usually sit at the bar so if you typically dine at atable you may not notice the inexperienced bartenders. The last 2 times we had a young and obviously new bartender. The couplenext to me ordered a martini. His response was we are out of martin...
We celebrated both a birthday and our anniversary at Oxford Grillehouse last night. While the service was outstanding, my husband ordered the aged ribeye for $51, and it was incredibly disappointing—far below expectations. Honestly, a rubber sole would have tasted better. I really think that steak should be taken off the menu. Since this morning, my husband has been feeling unwell, to the point that we couldn’t even go to church. We believe the steak is what caused his discomfort. I’m happy to provide more details if needed.
The service and food was exceptional. My husband and I both ordered a wedge salad and shared a 10oz filet. Both of us enjoyed our food and both were full. Plus, the bartender played a joke on my husband when he asked for an extra orange on his Blue Moon.It was so funny. All the servers came by to laugh with us. (They brought another glass of beer without the oranges)
The atmosphere was great. However, one of my lamb chops was brought to me un-done. Literally RAW! When I notified the server she said that it was nothing she could do besides taking the same lamb chop to the kitchen to be cooked throughly. I was then offered a discount which was only $1.90. The food here is truly outstanding! You must try the bacon appetizer—it’s incredible. The fillet was remarkably tender and flavorful, possibly the best I’ve ever had. The excellent service complemented the meal perfectly. I was thoroughly impressed.

One of the best meals I've ever had. The bacon appetizer was delicious, the filet perfect, and the blueberry cheesecake for dessert was outstanding. The service was impeccable.
