Such good value and great service with a smile. Had the spaghetti bolognese (I always do here) and side salad, both of which are massive, could feed 2 but I was hungry :-) Not sure why they offer complimentary bread on arrival? You need all the space you can to finish the main. And cordial? These things must be a tradition here I think. Just great hearty, cheap, soul satisfying Italian food. The chef looks like he's from the mafia, love it, authentic.
Organised a work get together with an Italian theme here. Great hearty, home style Italian food where portion sizes are bigger than your head. Very friendly and helpful staff and prices are more than decent. Osso bucco and lamb shanks were a stand out, and couldn't go wrong with the pasta. At $24pp for a main, side pasta and salad (lettuce with dressing), it was a steal! Locals call it an institution.
Love stoping by here for a cup of coffee and a slice of cake on a sunny afternoon and sitting on the pavement. It is an institution and has been around for ages, the decor is simple, the furniture is basic, the service is warm, and the coffee is splendid. You know that feeling where you're hungry but the thought of food makes you nauseous? Where you're not awake but need the triple shot long black to wake you up but need something in your tummy? Been coming here for the best part of 20 odd years and it just dawned on me I'd never reviewed it Arguably the best cheap eat in Sydney and to bolster that argument is they've been on the same spot since the 60's. With a very simple menu to choose from these guys don't get it wrong and they don't make it small either
Has the menu here ever changed? Probably not but that's a good thing if you have your favourite that you keep coming back to. Depending on the mood, it's the pork chops or schnitzel for me. Goes great with the free bread, green salad and orange cordial.

Delicious and fast! The chicken parmigiana was so goodThere was eggplant underneath the cheese and it was on top of oils providing wonderful flavor.
