Popped in for a late dinner tonight - First impressions: Place was a bit quiet, prices a bit higher than similar places in the same area, unfriendly waitstaff.Our laksa didn't taste bad exactly, just not the way a good laksa SHOULD taste. The broth didn't have enough coconut milk in it, or enough spiciness - instead, the broth was very sweet ,,,Fried kwai teow wasn't salty enough - no soy sauce to be had, and a very liberal sprinkling of salt was required. A little bottle of soy sauce on the table isn't too much to ask, especially as most other places have these.Salt & pepper squid was a bit mushy, plus couldn't taste the salt or the pepper at all.Szechuan chicken was pretty much inedible -...
Myself and my mum went to Bill's Asian Kebab house for lunch. I've been to the Hobart one previously and loved it! I had the duck noodle and my mother ordered the meat lovers (no. 7). The food came out within 15 minutes, but my mum for the wrong dish! She asked for the correct one, but wasn't offered the price difference in return. The dish she got was $17 and the dish she ordered was $14. The duck was great! I enjoyed eating it and had a generous amount.In comparison to the Hobart one, the one on the eastern shore needs a little oomph. The decor inside is pretty plain. For such a great location right near the waterfront, it was a let down. It has the location, but refuses to embrace it.
We choose takeaway from this café at least once a fortnight and have been doing so for several years. The Chinese chef owner and his wife and staff efficiently provide a huge variety of meals cooked on the spot - there is such a range of Asian, kebabs, snacky foods such as tacos, that there is something to keep everyone happy. The dishes are well priced and often we have left overs for a second meal. Like many others, we take our meals around to the bluff to enjoy the food while watching the boats on the harbor and looking across to Mt Wellington and the city of Hobart
I went here the other day for a look to find that this place has so many options to choose from. The food varies from kebabs, noodles and other specials. The kebabs are very fresh and are always cooked good. The restaurant has been recently been updated with new table and chairs and has had a paint, it would be fine to eat in and have something to eat, they also offer takeaway and home delivery service if asked. I would definitely come back here for a bite to eat.

Bill's is one of my favorite little Asian places in Hobart where I can stop to grab a quick and healthy meal. There is great variety in the menu as they do excellent Asian dishes, Kebabs, Pizza and even Nachos. I recommend the Nasi Gorang, Deluxe Pita bread pizza and All the Kebabs!
We visited from perth and i am a noodle phanatic.. this did not dissapoint. It was delicious, and well priced. My husband is a kebab man and he wasn't dissapointed either.
Always good for a quick takeaway when you can't be bothered cooking. My son likes the garlic pizza. My favourite are the prawns wrapped in spring roll wrapper. yummo.
I'm a brunch connoisseur and this place does brunch impeccablyIt's fancy and expensive, but they provide you with so much food on the set menu.
