Billy K's Restaurant

Used to stop at St Hubert for my poutine fix on a Trans Canada road trip. The one just inside the Quebec order has been a disappointment on the last two trips so decided to try this restaurant off the 401 in Cornwall. Looks like it's been around for a while and lots of locals eating there One orders off the board. (Cash only with an ATM on site.) Fast counter service and the fries and gravy were both hot so the curds were the proper gooey mess With a regular burger as a side, it was still under $10. Very filling meal and I probably didn't need the burger since there was lots of meat in the Italian style poutine. Such a relief to have properly cooked fries without adding sugar. I ll be back

i live in the same town as Billy K's is in Cornwall, Ont.. Altho I hardly ever have time to go in an it had been maybe 5 years since i was last in there, Tho i had been craving a poutine done right, er...meaning not many places i like it at, but Billy K's have always seemed to do it right, anyways they did that night giggles thankies agains..

Quick and courteous service. the meat of the burgers was fresh and the chili house very good. Ordinary poutine, the best is undoubtedly that of the micheline in St-Augustin-de-Desmaures if you are looking for something that looks like a "the beautiful pro" restaurant that looks pretty much like it.

There's no other place in town to get a steamie (hot dog in a soft bun) this fresh this cheap. I always ask for all dressed, hold the relish.
