We always feel right at home when we stop in at ESCA! Usually we opt to sit on the bar side, enjoy a few beverages and share a few apps and pizza! It NEVER disappoints!Drinks are outstanding! Katie is the absolute best bartender! She knows exactly what we like! The owners are very invested in their business. They are there either working, greeting customers and or making sure everything runs smoothly! They are an awesome team! Stopped in for lunch, my first concern was feeding the parking meter. I had no Canadian coins and asked for change, the manager immediately asked me which vehicle was mine and took care of all parking problems. Katie, our bartender, provided such a concise overview of the menu that we ordered on her recommendations. We were pleasantly rewarded with a most fantastic carrot soup of the day, a very tasty vegetable wrap (and I am not specifically a vegetarian) and a fantastic Prosciutto Panini. Local beers were on tap, it was an excellent time. Very reasonably priced, actually, very inexpensive compared to the prices and quality found across the boarder in NY, Search this place out.
Bravo Esca!This is an overdue review of our favorite local eatery. Ambience is modern yet cozy. Wait staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Everything we have ever tried has been delicious (and reasonably priced too.) Cocktails are delicious. We can recommend the sangria or Pimm's. Beer and wine selection is excellent. From the starter menu, we have loved the bruschetta flatbread, the calamari and all of the delicious salads. One of my favorites is the beet salad. From the main dishes, we love the Esca burger, the Esca pizza as well as the salmon with mushroom quinoa. Yummy! Cappuccino and Guinness chocolate cake (if you have room)! nicely round out an excellent meal.
We had a great experience waitress was very friendly and knew the menu and special without missing a beat...My mother has alzeimers so the waitress was so kind and patient with my mom and she made a few adjustment to satisfied my mothers order...It was my birthday so I had a complimentary piece of cake and the owner sent a free round of shooters at no charge...The waitress was truly amazing I got spoiled it was very nice evening...Loved the restaurant I would give it a 5 ratting. .A most visit. We enjoy the Wednesday specials at Esca, 1/2 pizza and 1/2 salad. This time they switched it up on us with a very dense bowl of mushroom soup with the pizza instead of the salad. This was unexpected and surprisingly good. The mushroom soup was very tasty. Our pizza's were also good, as is tradition. Thank you Katie.
I am personally acquainted with the chef at this restaurant. He is very careful in preparing meals due to his child's multiple food allergies. It is important to mention that they do not have a separate fryer for their fries, but they do offer a gluten-free mushroom gravy option.
