It's a typical bar. The pub food was decent, but nothing extraordinary. Since I don't drink alcohol, I went there to catch up with coworkers after work. I ordered mozzarella sticks and a Coke. As a sports bar, there wasn't much to capture my interest on the TV screens since I'm not a sports fan. However, I was primarily there to enjoy time with my colleagues rather than for the sports or the bar atmosphere.
Met some really good people here and had great food. There are a lot of TV's to watch multiple games and a variety of sports going on at once. But get this, a sports bar that closes on a weekend (Saturday night) at 8:30?! PM? Really? I'm not from around here, but THAT was really an eye opener. Probably won't be going back unfortunately.
Billy's is the perfect spot for grabbing a seat at the bar or at a high top table to catch a game. Their Jamaican wings are hands down the best in New England. While the menu features standard bar fare, the quality is notably superior. Overall, it boasts the best traditional sports bar vibe you can find anywhere.
Without a doubt, this is the best steak and cheese sandwich I've had in a long time, possibly even ever. It was as if I was savoring bite-sized pieces of filet mignon on a perfectly toasted bun, topped with just the right amount of melted cheese. The food and service were outstanding. That was the best burger we've had in ages, along with hand-cut fries that were perfectly crispy. The chicken wings were tender and delicious, and the beer was cold. The service was quick and incredibly friendly. We will definitely return!
