We did the set menu at the River Garden. A number of the options had a supplement, the sundae was pretty average, as was the gnocchi, though the fish and burrata were delicious. It felt very overpriced at £55+ per head. There was also very loud music and someone on a microphone at the start of the meal that ruined the ambience. I wouldn’t go as far as to say we felt ripped off but it was pretty poor value for money.
Very slow service despite the restaurant not being busy there were only 2 to 3 other covers. The so called fixed price £30 for 2 courses there was additional £5 for most dishes therefore likely cost £40. Food was mediocre. The Cafe de Paris butter was just butter with parsley. Only had “yellow” mustard. I would not go back there nor recommend it to anyone.
First time at this restaurant following the great reviews on OpenTable we were not disappointed. The 5 course menu turned out to be 8 courses, each one looking and tasting better than the other. Attentive and knowledgeable staff making this a perfect evening to celebrate a special occasion my divorce!
Service was very slow; food was quite nice, but did not have everything on the menu. Set menu prices do not include sides and you need to pay extra for fish. Very dog friendly, lovely atmosphere. I would like to go back, but would like a better service. Réservez une table maintenant

The husband brought me to his company holiday party here and it was pretty amazingWe had the basement all to ourselves with an open bar - neat.
Had a really nice dinner here food was good value. Service could have been a bit slicker but overall a lovely setting.
