Bird's Nest is a thrive Ng Street style Japanese skewer restaurant with a great vibe and atmosphere. They are regularly busy and booking is highly recommended, but for good reason. The food here is brilliant! Good value, great serving sizes and great menu variety to cater for everyone. Drinks list is good with Sake, wines, beers both local and Japanese. Service is fast and friendly. Great experience and brilliant flavours. Recommend for top, top food.
Went to Birds nest for Sunday birthday dinner with the family. The restaurant is small, but the ambiance and decorations were lovely. We enjoyed a number of dishes including chicken skins, sasami, torimomo, butabara, tsukune (absolutely tasty), prawns and the infamous momo cocktails. Good value for money. Tasty food, and a good selection of drinks however service was a bit off. Would be very happy to go back again and try the rest of the menu.
Absolutely delicious. The food was fresh, delivered fast and so tasty. We order the banquet so we could try a few different items. So glad we didn’t go with a bigger banquet option as there was plenty of food to satisfy. We also had some warm sake which went perfectly with our meal. They were fully booked with no spare tables and this did not discourage service, they staff were friendly and helpful.
The lunch specials lured me in $12 for a delicious karate don, the chicken was super tender and juicy. It was cooked to absolute perfection. Only the Japanese can make deep fried chicken into a beautiful refined dish. I came with a pram and the staff were very accommodating which is always much appreciated. Fantastic and HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The food, service, ambiance, sake, shochu and everything were perfect. We've been to the other location in Fortitude and though it was good, this one feels even better and makes you feel like you are in Japan. Food and service were excellent. Everything was so good. Go! Go! Go!
A great night out at a great venue. We had the $55 chef's selection, which really was value for money and have a good selection of skewers. I really recommend the tomato skewers as well as the panna cotta. The bar menu was extensive so I think this would also be a great place for after work drinks.
