Bistro de la Gare provided a delightful escape into the charm of classic French dining. Nestled conveniently near the train station, this bistro offers both locals and travelers a taste of authentic French cuisine. The ambiance, reminiscent of early 20th-century Paris, pairs beautifully with their expertly curated menu. From the escargot, which melted in my mouth, to the perfectly-seared duck confit, every dish was a testament to the chef's expertise. The attentive staff ensured a memorable experience. I'd highly recommend stopping by for a taste of France, whether you're just passing through or seeking a regular spot for your dining pleasure.

After reading the amazing reviewing on yelp we decided to try this bistro in a quiet and charming neighborhood. Appetizer 3 stars chicken pate generous portion with great taste! Escargot good sauce but the meat was on the smaller side. Main course 2.5 stars mussels besides sandy, the sizes of meat were as small as the escargots. I am not kidding! Confit duck leg one bite into the duck and i could taste the stale oil. I did not eat the duck and only fed on the beans and potatoes. I really like the location, service and the ambiance of the restaurant but it did not make up the below average main courses.

This authentic French bistro, located so close to a Gold Line station, is always a wonderful experience with its outdoor dining. My wife generally orders the mussels. We usually start with the olive tapenade which we both love. I have sampled the steak, the burger, and the bolognese sauced pasta. For those who prefer California chardonnay, they serve a Talbot. I choose one of the French reds. The outdoor dining is dog friendly. The only reason there was noise was the adjacent Farmer's Market and attendant foot traffic.

Delicious traditional French cuisine with outside dining in a quiet setting in South Pasadena. Friendly servers, delicious food. Lot's of butter--but it's French so that's what you expect (and want), right? My wife and I shared two appetizers and an entree, and we were very satisfied. We have had the tarte tatin in the past and it was amazing. Réservez une table maintenant

Bistro de la Gare is my go-to for a quality restaurant experience. The food is always perfect in preparation and presentation, the staff and Chef Bruno are always attentive and welcoming. I love the casual comfortable elegance that they always create.

we celebrated our jubilee here. eating on the way during the farm market was not ideal, but eating was exceptional. taste the tempura garnel appetizer and the bone. crispy and perfectly cooked.

The fish was inedible and soaked in way too much sauce. The clams were mediocre at best and the kale salad was the best thing we ordered. I would not recommend this restaurant
