We have been to black dog many times for food and until our most recent visit it has been great, but we went for bacon and egg muffins and first of all they FORGOT to put the bacon on after getting home and opening them up, secondly when they did make us new ones with the bacon we had paid £6 each for it was so burnt it was inedible and the muffins were hard. Overall it was greatly disappointing, we will be going other food places near by for breakfast in the future unless the old breakfast sandwich returns to its original standard.
This restaurant was absolutely amazing! I left feeling so happy and well taken care of that I plan on going back tomorrow. My son and I have never felt so relaxed or at home than we did today. Unfortunately, he had to leave at 7pm due to his age, but that was understandable. I can't believe I didn't know about this place before. I may have missed out on it in the past, but I won't be missing out again in the future! Thank you!
This was my first visit to this restaurant and I absolutely loved it. The food was abundant, delicious, and unique. The dark decor created a moody atmosphere, enhanced by dim lighting. The tasteful music added to the overall experience and put me in a great mood. I highly recommend this place, and they even offer free pool on Wednesdays.
Blackdog has teamed up with Salt Pepper Kitchen from the Arndale now and the food is fantastic, really tasty. It operates like a takeaway: you order and collect from the kitchen hatch and the food comes in (paper) takeaway trays but you can still sit inside to eat.

only at home from a private party for my son in law. beautiful hotel staff very friendly and very helpful. tom on the bar went the extra mile for us defo 10* service. highly recommended
The restaurant is centrally located and was bustling in the middle of the afternoon. There was a wait for the billiard tables, but I enjoyed the lively music playing.
Came here for some food and drinks with the girls and as a reliable late night food joint I knew I would have a good time here!

This should be called 'the late night bar' or 'the place where you go when everywhere else is closed'.
