our first time we try blacker **** was a big disappointment. the only good was our server that was in order. that was the worst French wobbly soup I ever had. the cocktail I ordered was not a good combination of aromen. the entrees really lacked in taste and I am not in the regular super picky. Unfortunately I felt unused after eating and could not even force myself to eat half my meal. we tried the dessert course in hope, it would be better, but it was really not. it was salty and again the taste combination was not good. we even heard the table behind us and talked about how they didn't like to eat her. we will not bring any guests back.
I've been wanting to try this place for quite some time, and I finally had the chance to visit this weekend. If you're considering it for a weekend date night, make sure to RESERVE a table. It gets quite busy, and the only option for walk-ins is on the rooftop, which can be pretty chilly this season. This restaurant features a distinctive menu for both food and drinks. We chose the schnitzel and paired it with a pumpkin-inspired cocktail. As for the food, the collard greens were tough and needed more cooking time.
Black Rooster is another one of my go to's when I want to ENNNNNJOOOY my food and drinks. They have seasonal and house interpreted drinks that are just divine. My new love is their ENZONI made with a Lavender Gin ???? (Is it bad when you order 4 of the same drinks before you leave the restaurant? . And I always enjoy their food. The atmosphere was pleasant, and our waitress was attentive. I ordered the Hanger Steak cooked medium rare, accompanied by fries. Unfortunately, the steak was a bit tough and lacked flavor. My girlfriend had the New York Strip, which she asked for medium, but it was unfortunately overcooked in some areas and medium well in others. Despite this, I’m willing to give the restaurant another chance.
I love this place. It's a very beautiful fine dining place with great rooftop views. I have a dairy allergy and someone sat down and went over the menu with me to make sure that I would be taken care of. I enjoyed my meal so much, I had the steak and red wine a month ago and I'll definitely be back. Thank you guys so much!
this place was great! beautiful view from the dach terrace! the bartender was absolutely incredible. when she watched her work, it was as if she painted an artist, a great masterpiece. not only we are they look incredible, they were also delicious! will definitely come back!
One of my favorite restaurants! They frequently update their menu, and I've loved every single dish I've tried. These photos are from a dinner I had with my two daughters, so we kept it simple that night. However, they truly have something to satisfy every palate!

Everything we had was amazing!! Black Rooster is a must try if you are from the area or not! I'd also recommend the rooftop bar! We sat down below outside and could see the river! It was lovely! Best crème brûlée in town!!
