The family and I chose Blackbird as our choice for lunch today based on location, variety of food and cost. However, from the moment we sat down this is when the service started to decline very rapidly, all because we were directed to a table...which was NOT marked as being reserved, but according to other staff was supposed to have been put aside for other people, who supposedly did have a reservation in place. On two seperate occassions after sitting down and having already ordered our meals we were questioned by completely different staff (different to the waiter who first directed us to the table) if we had made a reservation and our answer was no. Extremely disappointed with our visit. Went during vivid (first mistake). Least we booked! But huge wait to just get to the front to get in. Then got our table crammed in. Food service was long and drinks service even longer. One main meal came out...and we had to ask different staff 4 times for an update. Meals were average at best. We then asked for a kids icecream which took 20 mins to arrive after asking numerous staff again only to be looked at blankly by most of them. Time to pay.. just to get a bill to be able to pay seemed like a great deal of effort. No staff seemed to know what was happening. No one really ‘in charge’. Overall a very disappointing visit. We won’t be back and won’t...
Good food with disinterested wait staff member. Had to wait until meals nearly finished for drinks. Got told bar needed to change taps. Ok come and tell us. Then charged for 2 lots of beer that needed tap changed. Realised this and went back...for refund. Look on wait staff face was like some just someone who had eaten 20 lemons. Couldn’t get the refund to work so shoved her hand into staff tip bowl and we got some squashed notes and coins. Having said that food was good pizza burger and entrees all tasty. Good view also.
Some must-try dishes include the lollipop prawns in sriracha butter sauce with lime and bronze fennel, as well as the creamy crab, prawn, and lobster ravioli. The pork ribs are incredibly tender and the BBQ meat pizza is a crowd-pleaser.

My partner and I went here for Valentine’s day. We had their Valentine’s Day special set menu which was pretty good. 3 types of entrée to share, main for each of us and 2 different desserts. Their service is quite excellent, most of the staff are attentive and friendly. Plus the great view and decor!
we had a group of 6 who dimmed in this restaurant. we were last visited a few years ago and the service was still very good. my male server that could be the manager was excellent. my wife and I both had that huh on the one we enjoyed. our group had different other meal times they enjoyed.
45 minutes to get drinks, ordered entree pizza which never came, daughters pasta cold when eventually arrived, sisters meal which was a salad came after everyone was finished meals, overall really bad service and rude waitress, who ignored our may requests for late food,

We had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. The service was exceptional and the location overlooking the harbor was wonderful. Every meal we had was excellent, and the desserts were heavenly. We were very impressed overall.
