During the offseason and the time of night, my efforts combined with determination did nonetheless, challenge as it is exceeding difficult to research a suitable dining establishment within my parameters. I would highly recommend this place!! They make AMAZING Eggs Benedict!! They have some very hearty and delicious versions of this dish.. yum!!! Lots of variety on their menu, staff was SUPER friendly!! They had just had a BUSY mothers day morning, we arrived early afternoon, and the staff was still smiling and very accommodating, even after being run off their feet. I was very impressed! The atmosphere is very woodsy, comforting.. pool tables and sports tvs with dining tables on one side of the restaurant, and very nice dining room on the other end of the restaurant. I can't wait to go back and try another Eggs Benny!
Our first time at Blake's was for brunch. We loved it and have been back a few times for lunch and dinner since. Blake's is a great choice for local, homestyle comfort cooking, whether you're a local, or visiting the area camping or cottaging. They also offer a few local beers on tap.Prices are mid-tier, considering the atmosphere, type of food served, and location. Wait times for food have always taken a bit long, so we make sure to come only when we aren't in a rush.
I ordered a Muskoka salad for take out. It sounded great (combo Caesar/ Greek) and the menu descriptor was amazing . Except for the dressing which was fine, it was very disappointing. I would describe it as a large uninteresting garden salad. There were no bacon bits, croutons or olives which would be expected additions. There was a wee bit of feta cheese and no obvious parmesan. Highly recommend. Food and service were amazing! If you’re in the area, you HAVE to try this place. We ordered calamari, wings, mushroom ravioli, pickerel bites and mandolin potatoes! Everything was delicious! They were pretty busy so we had to wait a while for our food but it was well worth the wait. Great beer too!
My daughter and I went here for breakfast, and we were not disappointed. The portion was generous, and the food was well seasoned and fresh. The crab cake was made with real crab and was delicious. We will definitely be going back for more meals throughout the summer.
