I went to the restaurant yesterday, which was a Sunday, and I was pleasantly surprised that it was open. I know that many Southern, Jamaican, and African restaurants tend to close on Sundays. I ordered the oxtail plate, and the young lady at the cash register was very friendly. She informed me that they only accepted cash. The food came out quickly, and I can definitely say it was delicious. The oxtails were tender, the plantains were perfectly caramelized and sweet, which I loved. The rice and peas were well-seasoned, and there was plenty of oxtail gravy to pour over the rice. The cabbage was fresh and clean, without any signs of mold or mildew, which I’ve unfortunately seen in other places...
The food was decent overall. My rice was quite dry and lacked seasoning. It improved a bit once I added the sauce from the stewed chicken, but I probably should have asked for extra sauce. The plantain was a bit tough, so I ended up discarding it. I enjoyed the texture of the chicken in the stew, but the j chicken didn't appeal to me—it seemed either overcooked or not fresh, I couldn't tell. There was no spice at all in the dish, and the cabbage was very bland. I certainly craved more flavor. I’m willing to give them another chance, as I believe some days can be hit or miss. The service was excellent and quick, so I’ll be returning! Thank you!
Whomever is cooking the food definitely has blessed hands because the oxtails are always on point. The only suggestion I have is that they need and option for white meat (breast or some wings) only. My spouse likes white meat so he goes to another spot that I kindly won’t name but won’t be visiting anymore to get white meat only but it’s not as good as Blessed at all. Anywho I love the oxtails here they fall off the bone so tasty. Réservez une table maintenant
Hello, my wonderful friends! Today, I decided to treat myself to some delicious Jamaican food. I ordered brown stew chicken and jerk-style chicken. Both were very tasty, but my favorite was definitely the jerk chicken. You should definitely come and try it for yourself!
This restaurant is outstanding and definitely one of the top spots in LA for Jamaican food. The oxtail and curry goat dishes are exquisite. I highly recommend trying the fresh pineapple ginger juice; it has the perfect mix of sweetness and spice.
This place is primarily a takeout spot, with just a few tables available, but the food is definitely best enjoyed at home. Once you've finished those incredible dishes, you'll want to lie down and ponder the meaning of life. It's that delicious!
I came here a couple of weeks ago! I ordered their oxtail with rice and peas and cabbage. I thought the oxtail was good but I thought it could've been cooked longer. The oxtail was kinda hard and not falling off the bones like I'm used to. Réservez une table maintenant
The curry goat, cabbage, plantains, and meat patties were outstanding. Everything was incredibly delicious! I definitely plan to visit again; it’s a special place. I also loved seeing the Holy Bible in the display case.

"The experience was alright. The RIP TIP plate is a great marketing tool. If you want a true Rip meal, go with the Baby Back combo."
