Block House Am Aegi

Have visited this place many times before and always was fully satisfied. This time my ribeye was cooked rare instead of medium rare as ordered. Other 3 steaks were exactly medium rare and forth was bit undercooked. Instead of apologizing waitress tried to argue. Then they just...cooked more same steak and served it again. As this is steakhouse so this unstable cooking shall be improved, I don't think it is so difficult to cook right degree.. Second problem poor wine choice of mediacre wines. Malbec is the most suitable with the meat. Potato was good, salad fresh, juicy and crispy.

We came in around 20.00 on a wednesday from the streeet without having booked, so there was a bit of waiting time before there was a table available. The staff was friendly and took out orders not long after being seated. It took a while...before the main dish was served, but every menu comes with a salad that served a starter, so the waiting time was not a huge issue. Steak was really well cooked, pepper sauce delicious, so a nice meal all in all.

Really really good. I know it's a just a chain. But the food was outstanding one of the best steaks. We sat inside but the windows had been folded away and the place was packed inside and out and we just had a great...time. Real atmosphere, great and friendly service and did I mention the steak? We were only in Hannover two nights and we went somewhere more posh on night 2 but I actually regretted not rocking the Blockhouse again! :

I am a seasoned traveller with 30 years experience in steak restaurants around the world. I know and like the quality of the Blockhouse chain...but it seems to me the quality of the kitchen is going downhill.Second time in a short time my fillet -ordered...medium rare- was English or bleu. Despite this each time the second attempt failed. It came back in exact the same way: english.The waitress was unapologetic .Not a good sign. Réservez une table maintenant

Went to dinner. We each had a rib eye steak. The steak was tender, well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The steak came with salad and a potato in its jacket. The beer was cold and the soft drink was also very cold. Good for a...hot day. The waitress was friendly and spoke good English. I know this is a restaurant chain but good service and food makes it worth a visit.

I have been with my boyfriend in this famous Restaurant... and this was my first and last time. I took a new position in menu “Brust Keule”. “Keule” was ok but “Brust” was completely dry. Backed potato was like backed a couple of times....All portion was small. I will not spend any euro anymore in this “famous” restaurant.

We ate at the Block house on a couple of occasions and both were excellent meals, well presented and efficiently served by attentive but not overbearing staff, it was a busy restaurant and bar, good atmosphere and seating capacity, we ate outside because it was...very warm and it was most enjoyable.

Went here for a business dinner. The service was very fast and done with a smile. We had salads and filet mignon for main course. The salad was very nice but steak was a little bit tasteless and has to be considered average. It was...perfectly cooked though, but taste was a little bit dull... Réservez une table maintenant

We have been for 3 days in Germany in this restaurant was the best dishes that we ate, everything that we had ordered was so delicious, the service was good.

Decent steaks at a reasonable price. Quick service. Friendly place. Server Edyt was the best, treated us like friends.
