My friend and I were visiting Michigan and decided to grab a burger after checking out a few sights. I found this place on Yelp and had high expectations. Unfortunately, my experience fell short. I ordered the J Dawg burger, which is supposed to come topped with cheese sauce, jalapeños, and various sauces. However, that wasn’t what I received. When my burger arrived, it was cold and raw in the middle, despite my request for medium rare, and none of the listed toppings were included. This is a fantastic local pub with delicious food. I've been here twice now. The service is outstanding, and the atmosphere of the bar is really nice. On my first visit, I ordered the Mahi Tacos. The filling was delicious, but the tortillas were a bit dry and tough. On my second visit, I tried the fish platter, which was excellent. My wife ordered a couple of their famous hot dogs, and they were quite good. I really appreciate that they split and grill the dogs—very tasty! However, they are a bit pricey at $8 each. Overall, it's definitely worth stopping by for something local and unique. I've also heard great things about their smothered tater tots from friends.
I stopped by right after I landed at the airport. It was my first time in Grand Rapids, and I enjoyed a late lunch around 2:30 PM. I chose this place based on Tripadvisor reviews. Sam, the bartender, was fantastic and offered excellent recommendations. I'm always a fan of a good French dip sandwich, and this one did not disappoint. I also ordered the tater tots as a side, based on numerous reviews, and they were delicious. Sam gave me some great advice on a dinner spot considering where I was staying in the city. I’ll definitely return here on my next trip to Grand Rapids.
Trendy spot to relax! I visited on a Wednesday night before my daughter's orientation the next day. There was a nice crowd and the food was tasty. My main observation was that the menu was on the smaller side, which seems to be a growing trend these days. Overall, it's a great place to enjoy a meal. Be a blessing!
