If you ever find yourself in Gravenhurst, Ontario and love a well presented tasty repast do yourself a favour and visit The Blue Willow Tea Shop. Don't let the name put you off if you aren't a tea drinker. They also serve coffee, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages. However if you are a tea drinker you will be dead chuffed! There are all different kinds of tea to choose from. It doesn't stop there though. If you are looking for a bit of over 'ome food you won't be disappointed. The Ploughman's Lunch, Guiness Pot Pie and homemade scones are just the beginning. Fresh salads, soups and sandwiches are also on the menu. If you have a sweet tooth there is shortbread, sticky pudding, and cakes to...

We ate here twice this week. The first time we were all speechless with satisfaction. My husband, two daughters and myself cleaned all our plates to the last delicious crumb! Let's see, between us we devoured the breakfast plate x2, the chicken pot pie x2, the cabbage rolls, herb and spinach quiche, shrimp and scallops, tomato/basil soup x3 and Irish Stew. Off the dessert menu we ate Strawberry Shortcake, the lemon cake x2, the orange cake, the gingerbread cake, the butter tart and the Sticky Pudding dessert x2. Everything was amazing. Perfectly flavoured and cooked, soup and salads fresh. We can not say one tiny negative thing. The servers were warm and personable. Lovely ladies! And we can...

This place has so much potential: quaint, calming atmosphere, great staff but if you are going there for anything other than what they do best, tea and sandwiches and little cakes, you might be disappointed. The clientele is mainly older, typically ladies who love their afternoon tea and cakes. My husband and I were there recently when we ordered quessadillas, not a good choice for an English Tea Room. The portions were very small, the quessadillas were very minimally filled with dark chicken meat, served with a mini salad, but what really annoyed us was the sour cream and salsa sides... a mere scant tablespoon of each. I felt this was an insult. This plate was $16...not good value.

My wife raves about the Blue Willow Tea Room. She pretty much dines there once a month. I had never been. So on the day of the Antique Classic Boat Show we took my In-laws and enjoyed a magnificent early lunch. My father-in-law said "the BEST quiche I've EVER had!" - which is saying something. My mother-in-law and wife RAVED about the 'sticky toffee pudding' - a specialty. I had a grilled bacon and brie sandwich with caesar salad. Overall - what a treat! Now I know what I've been missing. And by the way, the service was excellent as well. A Great combination. Réservez une table maintenant

Such a cute restaurant with a beautiful view of the lake. I would highly recommend reservations as the restaurant was packed when we arrived and thankfully they had a 2 person table open. Even though we weren't there for high tea (we were there at 1 pm), they still had an option to get tea, sandwiches, scones and a dessert. The portions are quite small, more like an afternoon snack as opposed to a full lunch. Highly recommend going if you are in town.

Dined twice here during a short stay at the nearby Marriott hotel, and found it a real treat.A lovely recreation of a genteel English tearoom, where only the whiteboard showing the daily specials struck a jarring note. The location on the Lake Muskoka waterfront is spectacular, the ambience delightful, the food and friendly service of the highest quality. Not to be missed.

Had afternoon tea here on the strength of the reviews on Tripadvisor. Friendly staff, nice location on the harbour and great food. One of the best egg salad sandwiches I've had to date (bread was freshly baked) and scones authentic. Well recommended for an authentic British afternoon tea experience!

My friend and I stopped in to this quaint little tea room this afternoon while up in Gravenhurst. Excellent location right on the water with absolutely amazing views. Great service and lovely home made food. It was like stepping back in time to an Old English tea room - would through recommend Réservez une table maintenant
