Boccaccio's - Réservation de table

I wish this review could be better. Boccaccio's is a long-established restaurant on the lake in Westlake Village. My husband chose it as the spot to celebrate his birthday. We went early on a Sunday night, thinking we would beat the crowds and have a table on the large patio overlooking the lake. Alas, early, on a Sunday night is when everyone went (by 7pm, when we were leaving, there were several empty tables). We were given a table inside at the window. Ok. Then we sat for half an hour before any employee approached our table. We managed to get menus before that only because my husband snagged them off of a table where they were stacked. The overall ambiance was good, with great views of the lake, and the service was excellent; we received a lot of attention from the servers. However, the food quality was quite poor. We ordered pasta and ravioli dishes, and both felt like they came from a box or were frozen. The Alfredo sauce was just a bland cream sauce, and the chicken in the pasta was inedible and chewy, possibly sitting for too long. The food tasted like buffet food hastily put together. Additionally, the pricing was not fair for what we received. The food quality did not match the high prices, leaving us feeling dissatisfied and concerned about potential sickness from the meal. Recently had lunch....the fish and chips. I ordered the fish and chips along with a friend of mine. I ordered it extra crispy but when they brought it out, it wasn't marked, and the server had no clue which one was extra crispy. He had no clue since they basically didn't do it....both orders were the same. We also ordered horseradish but it was wattery. Not good. Overall pretty disappointing. It gets three stars because the atmosphere is nice being on the lake. But the food and service average at best.

What a breathtaking view it is hard to beat this place. What a lovely Italian restaurant; excellent service and atmosphere. We ordered vegetarian omelets, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, French toast, and Belgium waffles; all are so yummy. It is suggested to make a reservation prior to your arrival. I strongly recommend visiting this place and enjoying both the spectacular view and the food. Réservez une table maintenant

This place never disappoints. Absolutely the highest quality food no matter what you order. Their prices are always very fair! Service, top notch! If you’re lucky to have Jade as your server, you will be treated like royalty. We’re regulars here

We enjoyed our Sunday brunch outside by the lake on a warm Valley day. The service and ambience are great and the omelets and salads were perfect.

Amazing ambiance with a great view of the lake, and tasty food with big portions and reasonable prices. Plenty of vegetarian options as well.

Best ambiance and cool breezes. Order French dip with Ceasar salad. You can't go wrong. Check when they got prime rib, it's great too Réservez une table maintenant

Everything was perfect! Great food, great service and a beautiful scenic restaurant. We can’t wait to go back.

Probably one of the top restruants in ventura county. I will always come over the grade for here!
