We stayed for 4 nights in the guest house from the Sonnenhof, as there are only dogs allowed. This is also the only criticism of our stay. The guest house has three stars and the rooms were good, space-saving, were clean and all had a balcony. There was nothing to do with that. As a guest, however, I would like to have the choice when I want to go to the guest house, to the main house or in cultivation... with dog... Otherwise we had spent wonderful days there... a nice quiet area on the hill with a fantastic view over the Lake Constance. Breakfast was great and on the large wooden terrace was the cream cake... Of course you can have breakfast until 11:30. The staff was friendly. The complex...
Leider bin ich mehr als enttäuscht.. Schon beim Empfang konnte unsere Reservierung die wir bereits eine Woche vorher getätigt haben nicht gefunden werden. Als wir dann netterweise einen Tisch zugewiesen bekommen haben wurden wir ganze 25 Minuten von 4 Kellnern die mehrmals an unserem Tisch vorbei gelaufen sind ignoriert. Wir haben weder eine Speisekarte noch ein Getränk erhalten. Als wir nach 30 Minuten das erste mal von einem Kellner registriert wurden der versprochen hatte uns gleich zu bedienen, haben wir noch weitere 10 Minuten gewartet bevor wir uns dann entschieden haben das Restaurant zu verlassen. Schade, dass mit den Gästen umgegangen wird. Dies wird leider der erste und letzte Eind...
I've never been to a restaurant where your wine is taken away from the table and you have to request a top-up. I imagine that the staff are supposed to keep an eye on your glass but they failed. Good job I'm not a fast drinker! Service was very slow and the place seemed under-staffed. When the food eventually arrived it was very good. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day. The terrace is a lovely spot for dinner but don't go late as it is unlit and you can't see what you are eating once night falls.

I have been in this restaurant, which is part of a hotel overlooking Lake Constance a few days ago to have dinner with a business colleague. The view is probably overwhelming when it is not dark outside. The atmosphere in the restaurant is modern but still warm. the table decoration was nice and the waiters were quick. Overall food quality was very good and all this for really decent prices. I can definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to enjoy a good dinner at a nice place.
Stayed one night at the Hotel, had a simple room with partly see view. The Hotel has undergone renovations and is partly very modern. The restaurant is a must. I do not believe there is any other Hotel along Lake Constance with the absolutely awesome sight of the lake such as this has.An absolutely wonderful SPA with a large swimming pool completes the image.For anyone loving Lake Constance this Hotel is a definite must.
