My wife and I dined here this Saturday evening. We were pleased that we got to sit near the windows for a lovely sunset view, but that was about it. First of all, the entire area is so cramped that we felt like we were a part of the conversations of the three tables surrounding us. We also had a major issue with service. Simone was our waiter. Our first interaction was him coming around with the bread platter. He looked at my wife and myself and said, “you look like you never turn down bread!” Admittedly, we aren’t small people, but we have never had it verbally called out at a meal, and it was a very awkward moment for Simone when he realized we understood what he was saying. Ma femme et moi nous sommes mariés à Bon Appetit il y a six ans, il était donc naturel d'y avoir notre dîner d'anniversaire puisque nous étions à Dunedin cette année. Avoir une table avec vue sur l'eau, pour profiter de la nourriture toujours délicieuse, est toujours agréable que vous fêtiez ou non quelque chose de spécial. Le service est toujours excellent, et c'était aussi cette fois. Nous avons fait notre réservation pour une heure avant le coucher du soleil, donc nous le voyions pendant que nous terminions notre repas. Que vous veniez de l'extérieur de la ville ou que vous viviez localement comme nous, je recommande vivement de prendre un repas sur l'eau à Bon Appetit
We were looking for a lovely restaurant to toast our birthdays. We loved the white tablecloths the soft music and the beautiful view. Our waitress was delightful and we were impressed with the pictures of the food. The lobster bisque was delicious with lots of lobster. We also enjoyed our salads and were totally satisfied and too full for dessert. Our lunch at Bob Appetit truly made our birthday celebration.
Our steak was excellent, our salad was good, but our server continually displayed an attitude that made us feel that it was a bother for him to serve us. The pianist was outstanding and overall I would recommend this restaurant but only if a different server was available.

Service by Bob food FANTASTIC. Can’t beat the ambiance overlooking St. Joseph Sound with its beautiful sunset. Always enjoy Kathy at the piano playing people’s requests. Top on our list of restaurants in the area to enjoy a fine dining experience. D R
Was disappointed that even though we notified them it was our 60 wedding anniversary there was nothing done, or even mentioned at the restaurant.
Last minute reservation and they were able to accommodate. B service was prompt, food was good and view amazing. We will Return for sure!
