So we made a beeline for Boom Boom given its one of the top 10 burger joints in the country (or so they say). We both ordered their speciality (Smoked burger) with chips and a dip for $15 as the lunch special. Lets start with the service, it was strange to say the least. The chips came out about 15 mins before the burger. I like my chips with my burger personally so did not think this was the right way to do it.Then the burger came out. I recently stopped by this restaurant at Kirra Beach for a quick meal and ended up staying almost an hour because the staff was so friendly and the food was so delicious! I decided to try their special, the bacon burger, and I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was, especially considering the reasonable prices. The bun they used was incredibly soft and almost buttery, the cheese was perfectly melted on top of the patty cooked just the way I like it, and the bacon was crispy and delicious. Came here after our trip to Splendour and walked from the Gold Coast airport just for this place because it sounded like a great place and oh boy it was! The walk was nice along the beach and a great place to stop and have wonderful mouthwatering burgers and crispy chips after a long weekend at a festival. I imagine it would also be great for any occasion. My friends and I we sad after finishing our meals because we are from Perth and it would be a long time until we get to come back here :( fantastic service!!!!
I visited this restaurant before heading back to Perth from Splendour in the Grass. I tried the Winnipeg burger, which had haloumi, pumpkin, walnuts, rocket (which I usually don't like), and tomato relish. It was incredibly delicious, and I always have trouble finding good veggie burgers. The sweet potato chips were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My only complaint is that the restaurant is on the other side of Australia from where I live! I will definitely be returning if I have the chance.

How does this place have such great reviews? The first time we went, the burgers were average.... at best Upon looking at reviews, we note a lot of 1 time reviews... But we tried again, as we are locals. Maybe it was an off night. Fries came out ages before the burger... I didn't realise they were an entree. Burger was bland again, (looked cool) a slight smoke flavour. Meat was a little raw in the middle. The staff member that served us, English was woeful. Hardly a dinning out experience.
The service was excellent, the food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates delicious food and top-notch service.
Great location and vibe to this place. Tried a few of the burgers and all of them were good especially the chicken and chorizo and their special smoked burger. Definitely will be back.
Hip atmosphere, friendly staff and great service. Burgers were fantastic great flavour and fresh, the aioli with the chips was yummy.
