we had friends from the city, a special revisiting dinner and some people not comfortable with interiors. I called several restaurants from waltham to burlington and many either had no seats in the open or could not accommodate 8 people in their outdoor seating areas. the restaurants, the place for 8 all said they had a policy that would not allow them to eat outside. they greeted me to make a reservation, but could not guarantee outside seats at the arrival. not even under special circumstances and in a night that is usually not so busy (it was a Monday.) the border cafe manager was the most accommodating and said they came here, we make it work that we and they have! the waiter has quickly...

I never had a meal that I did not love in the border cafe! as a parent, I've been taking my 6 and 8-year-old children there for weeks. there are plenty of fun music and lots of light, that keeps her busy and entertaining, a great atmosphere for a family dinner. eating is very good and very consistent. so easy to have a few favorites and to know that they will always love them with each trip. they can never go wrong with the hot, fresh chips and salsa!

they were from some articles and they refused to change anything too vegetarian for people in our party, like fajitas, because they did not let them know that it is a chain, but I have never seen this kind of rigidity, especially after going out of objects. their drinks are good, but I never got the allure of eating here, so that this was the last stray.

Saltiest most horrible “Mexican” food around. Can’t believe they are still in business. Food is basically inedible featuring some of the worst black beans and Mexican rice anywhere.
