We’re local, we were turned away by a very snooty waitress at the barn, to what appeared to be a very empty barn, to be told they were only taking bookings (we’ve never had an issue with walkins before), in the meantime we tried to get a takeaway for the children in our party from the barn who were very hungry and getting restless, this was turned down too. We walked away, booked online for the pub (next door, same operators). Why wasn’t this open given to us… in the end we had to leave due to it taking too long to get seated by which point the children were far too hungry and we decided to leave for quicker food. Excellent value. Ambience slightly spoiled by a cantankerous guest who was self opinionated, garrulous, unreasonably demanding and difficult. Made the waitresses life very difficult. None of this was the fault of B and G Inn Would certainly revisit

Food was enjoyable but not outstanding. Service was quite slow and a long wait on food considering the restaurant appeared fairly quiet but the staff were lovely. Definitely worth a visit though.
