I went to dinner at Boubar Cafe in Nedlands with my friend Erlin one night. It's a very close cafe to the University of Western Australia, and some uni students are working part-time at Boubar. Our server was a very friendly Agriculture student who was in his last semester at uni. Boubar served great coffee and brunch, but I never went there for dinner. I was excited to see the dinner menu especially since I saw gravalax in it. Even though Boubar is a small cafe, the atmosphere was inviting for dinner.
Second time coming here, the staff are always very friendly and welcoming and the new menu is amazing with heaps of vegetarian options!<br/ <br/ I ordered the Truffle scrambled eggs which were AMAZING! My friend ordered the shakshuka which was really tasty as well.<br/ <br/ Will definitely be coming back to try some of the other menu items!
They’ve been open for over nine years, so while I hadn’t ever been to Boubar – I figured they had to be doing something (or somethings) right. Sadly in this town, to make it so long is quite a feat, and I knew it had to be more than just their proximity to UWA. Recently I headed down for a mid-week brunch to try it out.
This place is great. Stopped in here when looking for a late afternoon lunch (which is almost impossible to find in Perth . They had a solid selection of delicious and fresh baguettes, wraps and cakes. Didn’t try the coffee, but looks like they take it pretty seriously : will definitely be back to this place.

Friendly staff, top coffee, and a range of gourmet pantry items too. Been there for years — for the doctors, the students and everyone in between. Stop by for some time in a booth and your favourite coffee. Even good for business meetings.
Had breakfast at Boubar this morning, both my friend and I appreciated the good quality of the food and special little touches, e.g. olive oil drizzled over the avocado, and friendly staff. Real tea in generous sized teapots.
Nice small cafe close to the UWA campus (a nice walk from) with a good variety of food. Their coffee is quiet nice but expensive. Would suggest trying it out tho!
I had the Brioche French Toast $17) with peach, strawberry and maple with sweetened mascarpone. The brioche was so soft and fluffy with a nice hint of sweetness.

We were amazed by the food and atmosphere of Boubar. We went for dinner and now have to come back for breakfast. Our host for the evening was great.
