I picked it because of the write up on Bringfido and after reading on the website that the owner beat Bobby Flay with her King Club Sandwich. Dogs are allowed on the outside patio. My wife and I shared a King Club Sandwich and it was more than sufficient for our lunch. This is a three bread sandwich with the top section loaded with about one lobster. the bottom section had lettuce, tomato and bacon. It included a generous portion of french fries. Worth the stop. Will go back next time I am in the area.
We tried to call ahead for takeout, but the number was not working! When we arrived, we had to wait in line just to get inside, only to be greeted rudely and informed that they don’t offer takeout or to-go orders. This was confusing because their website clearly states that they do. They also wouldn’t allow us to sit outside, even though there were plenty of outdoor tables available; they insisted on indoor dining, which had only a few tables. Overall, it was a complete waste of our time!
I have always loved the Brass Compass. My grandparents loved dropping in there every weekend, but we've been without Grandma for about 2 years now.Bringing Gramps back here really seemed to bring back some memories of great food and good company with his best friend. The wait staff is awesome and the lobster sandwiches seem to have a MASSIVE amount of lobster.If you're in the neighborhood, make sure you drop in for breakfast.... or lunch!
We stopped for breakfast while on vacation in August, because our favorite spot was closed. The place was extremely busy, but we were pleasantly greeted and got a spot outside. Despite the number of people, we were served fairly quickly and had a delicious meal. Of particular note, my daughter's seafood omelet special was huge! We would come back.

Really good spot for a good breakfast. The food was cooked the way we ordered the wait wasn't all that long for a busy spot. The only thing I would say is even though the wait staff was extremely busy and they seem to be pleasant the one waitress we had it almost seemed like we were an inconvenience. Outside of that a really good experience.
The breakfast here is delicious, but the restaurant doesn't seem very COVID-friendly. The servers aren’t wearing masks, there’s no option for takeout, and it’s cash-only. Plus, the seating arrangement brings patrons quite close together. Also, getting through the door can be a bit challenging for both diners and incoming guests.
We had brunch here and I ordered the lobster Benedict and my husband order the lobster club. They were both super satisfying, and huge. Service was great too. I felt like the people who worked their treat each other like family.
The restaurant has a cozy, hometown vibe and the waitstaff is friendly and well-informed. I tried the fried clam basket, and it was absolutely delicious.
