My steak was burned on the outside and rare on the inside. Generally, the food is quite good, but it seems the chef may have had an off night.
Visited Brasserie Brandman over Valentine's weekend, they were offering a fixed menu of starter and entree for $75. Unfortunately, it was with only minor adjustments to their regular menu at about 50% price increase. Then the meal was completely underwhelming. Lobster bisque needed salt, shrimp lacked flavor, and filet came out medium well instead of medium rare. My wife's was a similar story. One and done visit for this place.
So glad that Bergen County has a really good restaurant where Valentino's used to be. We were graciously welcomed and served in the totally redecorated dining room. The food was delicious. I had steak which was cooked to perfection and so flavorful. Friends had chicken and short ribs. They raved as well. We were very satisfied. Will definitely return.

what else to say? the waiting staff was attentive, but not overlaid, the ambiente was very raised and romantic, the music was just the perfect volume, where it wasn't too loud was not too soft and the choice of the music was perfect, and the eating was absolutely phenomenal. the best two steaks I've ever tasted came from this restaurant.
This has become one of my new favorite restaurants ... in my neighborhood. The food is VERY good ... with some unusual twists to otherwise ordinary food. They recently stopped serving lunch, which is a disappointment. I wish they would re-open for at least Fridays!
Food was fantastic, my salmon main course was cooked to perfection. Cocktails were tasty and strong, well worth their price. Chocolate mousse dessert was rich and decadent, a perfect ending to our dinner. I'd dine here again just to taste the rest of the menu.
My wife and I visited Brasserie Brandman for a special date. The service was outstanding, and I really enjoyed the ambiance of the older home. The food was delicious, but I found it to be quite overpriced.
