This is a nice trendy cafe in surry hills and seems to be busy most of the time, so i felt like a afternoon snack and stumbled across this place in surry hills. Decided to treat myself to a caramel slice and was served pretty quickly the only thing was the caramel slice seemed to have just been out of the fridge as it was a bit cold and hard to bite in but it was so sweet I needed to get a green tea to balance it out. The waiteress brought out a banana cake which we returned as we did not order it and told them to take it off the bill.
Decent coffee, decent food (esp. breakfast food). don't expect awesome table service but otherwise I have always found ordering from the staff at the coffee machine a good experience.
Like the scrambled eggs on toast + bacon ($4 extra though), a little pricey for what you get but it is nice.
seating sometimes gets a bit awkward due to the layout.
good for a quick/casual visit or just ordering coffee. For something fancier try the alternatives nearby (like Devon)
Tried out this place just recently and was pleasantly surprised - great food in a great looking place. The decor is warm and inviting and is perfect for anyone looking to work on their laptops. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who does a little work-before-work, or if you're just a fan of good coffee and good food in general.Only negative is the service is slowwwwww - so as long as you are OK with that you are good to go.
We had lunch here today. The food and service was very good. It's a rustic type of place with healthy food options and gluten free bread. The staff are efficient and the food came out in good time. Would gladly come back. The only problem is that there is construction across the road for the light rail project. If you can put up with the noise from the street then you'll enjoy yourself here.

Used to have a good wifi ... bot anymore now. Service is quite bad, rude and unfriendly- a little smile won't hurt missy! I used to sit down, watched movie with a latte but since the wifi has gone ????... nothing attracts me to this place again.
ps: their entrance @ devonshire st is pretty high... I've seen someone struggled to climb up ... the server saw but didn't help
Popped in on my way to an appointment for something quick to eat. Decided to eat in cause yolo. I had to ask to be served as the wait or wasn't paying attention. I got a mini eggs beni and a coffee - breaky was ok nothing to rave about but did come out pretty quickly - coffee is decent too.
