Brew Cheese, Northport

Nothing better on a cold, rainy day than grilled cheese. Finally visited Brew Cheese in my home town of Northport on Long Island. Just off of Main Street with plenty of parking either on the street or in the giant lot near the docks. This is a fairly small space, with a handful of tables to seat parties of 4. One table in a cramped spot facing the street too. A couple young people working. Very friendly and welcoming. You order everything at the small bar (cards only) and they bring the food to you. Nice balanced tap list for craft beer, plus more canned offerings in the cooler, plus soda, etc. Huge list of grilled cheese options. Made right in front of you, basically. Served up piping hot a...

The food is very good. The restaurant has a lot of charisma and it is clear that much effort has been put into the development of the menu. The servers are friendly. A disadvantage of experience while I was there is that the food maintenance time was much longer than it makes realistic sense to be for a few sandwiches. The outdoor seating and the view of the park made this a really pleasant experience. I'd give a five star if not the waiting time, and definitely try to come back.

The one person who worked was very friendly and hard working, but it took a very long time (as she was alone) and the soup I ordered was cold, even after she had relieved it for me.

I love the clever names of their sandwiches, especially the banana stand. They are spicy sweet sandwich is excellent and if something I often desire.

Sandwiches are the bomb. The rachalette. Go for it, change things. That's worth it?
