I was really excited to try this place but I should?ve read some reviews before deciding to come here. I wish their food was as good as their customer service. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately their empanadas were not. For a placethat's known for empanadas I was truly disappointed. I had 2 chicken and 1 beef empanadas and it had to be the driest empanadasI ever had and by far the worst. They tasted like it was made days ago and barely had any meat inside. I probably won?t bereturning. There?s nothing unique about this restaurant. Their sauces were also pretty standard (green and pink sauce) even thatby couldn?t save the empanadas from being so dry, it was a terribly...
We're long time customers since Don Alvero's first restaurant. We now live out of state, but when we come to Jersey we always stop into his restaurant/ bakery. Today we stopped into his newest bakery. His food as always phenomenal! Unfortunately his staff's customer service was not to his standard. I had to wait at least 7 mins to give my order, on top of that, after getting our food at the register. We sat down. Two younger customers came in, made their order
After couple drinks, you definitely need something to eat and the best way to do it is simply to stop by Brisas.... they have multiple choices of empanadas and I can tell frankly, that was not a bad choice...I had Argentinian beef empanada and also ordered corn chicken empanada...that was really tasty. I will have to go back and try other stuff they have. Adding on top, the staff was so lovely and friendly which boosted my experience with them.
I was excited to try this restaurant, but I wish I had read some reviews first. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. However, the empanadas did not meet my expectations. I ordered two chicken empanadas and one beef empanada, but they were disappointingly dry and lacked flavor. They felt like they had been made days before and had very little meat filling.

This was my first visit to this restaurant, and I decided to sample a range of empanadas, including spinach, beef, chicken, and a potato ball with beef. Unfortunately, the beef empanadas had a stale, greasy taste that left me quite disappointed. I ended up having to throw them away. All I was hoping for was a well-seasoned empanada.
These are the best Colombian empanadas—definitely worth the trip to Elizabeth, New Jersey, just to get them! I absolutely love them!
I absolutely love this restaurant! The service is excellent and the staff is really friendly. The empanadas are fantastic!
The chicharrones are amazing! I wholeheartedly recommend them without hesitation.
