I was really looking forward to trying this place but some of the food was disappointing. We had the 2 choice mixed plate with the garlic chicken furikake chicken and the pork belly adobo. Unfortunately, the chicken was stringy and very dry, almost inedible. It tasted like it was fried in advance and fried again when we ordered it. The pork belly adobo on the other hand was very good. It had great flavor and was cooked nicely. The plate also came with macaroni salad that was just ok. We also tried the animal style cheeseburger (cheese, bacon, spam, fried egg) with the twisty fries, which was delicious. It was cooked perfectly and had a ton of flavor. I visited Golden Week in 2024 after discovering it on social media, and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious with generous portions, and even the kids loved it! The timing worked out well; although it wasn't as crowded as I anticipated, there was still a line inside the restaurant. I received my order about 20 minutes after arriving, and it was takeout only.
I honestly wish we had chosen a different restaurant. While the staff were friendly, the food didn’t justify the prices. There’s really nowhere comfortable to sit and enjoy a meal, and the costs are on the higher side. It seems like they benefited from some hype but have since lost their touch.
We walked in thinking we were about to order and eat a feast, but immediately left after being greeted by the most awful smell. It smelled like puke Clorox combined with no ventilation : and we instantly lost our appetite. Also noticed that their menu changed and there was no more oxtail. :

The spicy garlic chicken is absolutely amazing! Their custom drink, the lihimoi, is incredible. While the prices are a bit high, the quality makes it worth it. It did take 25 minutes for the food to arrive because they were really busy, but it was definitely worth the wait.
This place is closed now for cleanup/renovation but nobody updates the opening hours and nobody picks up the phone, this really messes up people’s plans. Please update your hours if you are not open. Cannot comment on any food or service because we didn’t get any
This used to be a sit down restaurant but now they only offer a few chairs to sit while you wait for your food gets ready to go. Still yummy, still a lot of food, so if you're traveling with a companion, share your meal.
Yoooo this place was easily the best meal I had in Hawaii. Wow...just wow. Spectacular flavors and a smooth process picking it up. We ate it all in the car, just couldn't wait. I wish we had a Broke Da Mouth in Atlanta!

So tasty! Great food. Quick service. Can’t eat in the shop, but no worries. There’s a beach nearby. Just be sure to throw away your trash (and pick up some while you’re there).
Don't know the place was shut down due to a fire... or at least that's what they told us.
