Respect to the young Kings but .. We ordered 2 of the 3 meat combos with collards yams baked beans with cheese grits and a sweet tea to go? the brisket I received was hard dry ends that wasn?t edible. That part of the brisket should?ve been discarded. Upon placing the order I distinctly asked the girl if she had the moist part of the brisket she had no clue what I was talking about. She also was slightly rude as if I was bothering her when I politely asked the question. Actually I asked the question to the guy first, that was taking orders a short guy he left the counter whispered to her and then she stepped up to the counter and said what?s your order. Went here 4/30/23 and couldn't have been happier. The service was awesome, and our waiter was very attentive. We started off with these sausage lollipops that had huge wrapped stabbed bacon around them and were smoked. Absolutely delicious. Then we got the chicken wings with garlic thyme sauce. The wings were crispy and juicy and had a nice smoke flavor. Then we did the 3 meat combo with pulled pork, ribs, and smoked chicken. All was delicious, but the ribs are a dry rubbed with a hard bark on it. They were great, but I'm just not a fan of them that way. The sides were Mac and cheese , and everyone should try and smoked baked beans. The portions are very large, and the cornbread is the best...
I have to say, the food here is consistently terrific. I usually order take out about once a week-they have great food (especially the Aunt Caroline's fried shrimp). The service in the restaurant is always very good. On this particular evening, our server was Pierce. He came to the table often and was very friendly . Loryn that works in the Take Out area is wonderful too. I come to Brother's often for Take Out and she saw me and have me a big hello. She is wonderful every time I come in there. Just wanted to make sure that she and Pierce are acknowledged.
Absolutely great! And we? ve eat a lot of bbq in the Carolinas, so this with the best of them. Very happy it is only 40 minutes from where we live and worth every mile. The maize cake was served warm, was moist and had a slightly sweet top. All meats were juicy and tasteful and the sides of the Slav, potato salad, Mac n? Cheese and beans were as we like them. Great service, loved the playlist and the metal bowls we ate! And the SAUCE! Perfect!
So delicious and a surprising dinner stop on a road trip return ride. Service was excellent. Brisket was one of the best I've ever had. Ribs were smoky and peppery. They even have custom sausage they ship in from TX which was yummy with the right amount of heat. Wish we lived closer. Would definitely return and sample the full menu of southern favorites. Delish!
I was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant. Larger inside than expected and very nice and clean. Food was delicious. Everything we ordered was delicious. Food served nice and hot and the service was great. Our waiter was patient and answered all our questions pleasantly and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend and return here.
Really good bbq. Prices were affordable for the quality they are delivering. The cornbread is amazing! The brisket was pretty good, as was the pulled pork. Enjoyed the candied yams as well. Only complaint was that the fried chicken needed some more seasoning or spice.
We stopped there at 5pm on a Saturday and it was packed. The wait was about 30min. But we got a table by the fire place which was an added bonus. The food is totally great and worth waiting. We loved all 4 types of meats that we tried, and the sides were nice as well.
