Went a few days after last Valentine's, and had a pretty poor experience. We'd been to Buckheads a few times before and really enjoyed it, but this most recent time was a comedy of errors. Started with the soups. The French onion soup was clearly microwaved. The cheese was rubbery and flavorless. The soup base itself was watery. I had a rib eye, partner had a filet with blue cheese. I could see that my ribeye was overcooked when it arrived, and it was. The filet was scorched both ordered medium rare, both arrived well done. Told our server, and the second filet was still overdone, and the ribeye was raw. Gave up on the filet, and they refired the ribeye to somewhere between medium and well....
Buckheads continues to be the best overall steakhouse in Richmond. Steaks are delicious and expertly prepared. Unlike the pricey chains that charge crazy prices for and then add on another $20-$30 bucks for a salad and and a side, Buckheads entrees include the salad, potato, and sautéed vegetables at no additional charge. Ambiance is old school steakhouse, and tables are not jammed too close together. You actually carry on a normal conversation with your dinner partner without raising your voice. Our waiter was excellent, informative, responsive, there when needed but not obtrusive. Great bourbon and wine list as well. You'll have to search hard for a better overall high end restaurant exper...
Our anniversary dinner at Buckhead's was amazing! Our server was very attentive and the food was everything a chop house should be. We had a the perfect table in front of the fire place in the uptown room the ambiance was everything you'd hope for. We will be making this our go to special occasion spot!
There are better steakhouses in Richmond, which makes me sad because I wanted this Richmond staple to be my favorite. Great service and I gave 5 stars for value because the side and salad come with the entree. But on every level- salads, sides, drinks, dessert- competitors are outshining.

We had a wonderful birthday dinner for my husband at Buckheads. The scallop appetizer was excellent and the steak with crab was so tender and delicious. Wine and key lime pie were also great! We couldn't have asked for a better experience! We will be back, hope soon!
First time diners at Buckheads and had a wonderful time all around. The lobster tail wasn't hot, but I guess this day and time, restaurants have to be careful not to serve piping hot food..... too many potential lawsuit potentials out there.
We had the Halibut and Filet medallions with crab. Both were excellent. We have dined at Buckheads many times and love it each time. Food and service always meets our high expectations. Can definitely recommend the restaurant.
Classic steakhouse in Richmond! My steak was drier than I'd like it to be and I wish the side dish serving size was larger. We had the old fashioned, dirty gin martini, and the gin and cucumber cocktail all were sublime.

We love going Buckheads for special occasions and this time didn't disappoint. Food was delicious. The bartender made my husband's favorite drink. And, Paul was a wonderful server!
