Burritos La Palma is a tough restaurant for me to review, because they are such a unique operation, and they do a few key things unexpectedly well. Rather than a deep dive into why this Zacatecan restaurant serves slender burritos that can fit into one 's palm that many people (myself included) also would consider to be tacos, I 'll simply leave it at that. Also, I 'll save the burrito history lesson for another review. And as much as other reviewers and food critics alike want to write about how Burritos La Palma somehow brought beef birria to Southern California, this notion is mistaken and, in fact, not even close to being accurate but since I don 't have a better or more definitive answe...

A hidden gem for Mexican cuisine! This popular takeout-only restaurant, located on Peck Road in El Monte, specializes in burritos and quesadillas, and they do them exceptionally well. The long line of eager customers speaks volumes about the quality of the food. I only found out about this place because my son recommended it, and I’m so glad we decided to give it a try. We ordered a burrito and a quesadilla, both of which were fantastic. The handmade flour tortillas were incredibly soft, and we even bought some extra to take home. The service was impressively quick; we waited less than 10 minutes for our meals, and considering everything is made fresh, that’s quite impressive. The prices are...

Very good! It reminds me of the taquerias in Mexicali, where they always have handmade taco-sized tortillas. These are more like the little burritos filled with meat, potatoes, shredded beef, tinga, and pork cracklings with beans that the vendors sell at the border crossings from Tijuana to Tecate and Mexicali. The tortilla was excellent—no salt at all—and the salsa was perfect, although I prefer mine spicier. There’s no dining area, so you’ll need to eat at home or in your car. The downside is that they cost $3.50 each, which is a bit pricey for such a simple dish that can easily be made at home if you know how to prepare shredded beef with spices and flour tortillas. Nonetheless, I would s...

A jewel for Mexican cuisine. This popular Mexican restaurant is located on Peck Road in El Monte. The restaurant focuses on only Burritos and Quesadillas and they do well. The long line is a witness to how good the food is. I wasn't here until my son told me about it. We came and got a Burrito and Quesadilla. Both were fantastic. The handmade flour tortillas were so soft. We still have some fresh flour tortillas to take home. The service was very efficient. We just waited less than 10 minutes for our food. Since all foods are made fresh, they are very fast to turn the food. Prices are very reasonable. Parking is located either in the parking lot next to the restaurant or on the street. Came to check the spot out for their birria burrito. When I got there I ordered a couple options but at the end of the day, the birria burrito was my favorite. The juices in the meat just drip down this tortilla which contributed to the great taste. Hands down, it was on point. My second favorite was the deschebrada, which was delicious for their shredded beef with green sauce. I also had the chicharon burrito and if you like that wet style then you?ll like it. It has a bit of a kick but not to spicy. The tinga burrito was ok but still good. The small portions allows you to enjoy variety of burritos in one sitting. As of this review, no in door seating.

Kiddo?s loves the bean and cheese, my husband and I loved they were all flour tortillas ??? the tortilla chips were amazing. We got bean and cheese, shredded beef with potatoes, birria burritos and a chicharron burrito. The chicharron burrito was in salsa, I thought it was gonna be like different ?? but it was ok it was pretty close to home made recipe. Would definitely come back. They just need more drink options, cus they just had sodas and water. For a Latino place I thought they'd had aguas frescas ?

This place, recognized by the Michelin Bib Gourmand, serves delicious homemade tortilla burritos filled with fresh shredded beef in either red or green sauce—definitely something you should order. You can also add borracho beans and mozzarella to your burrito for an extra treat. However, I wouldn't recommend the pork burrito, as it only contains slippery, cooked pork rinds. The staff here is very helpful and friendly. I just wish they offered chips with orders!

You absolutely have to try the burritos here, especially the birria de res. In English, that refers to beef prepared in a flavorful, aromatic broth. Regardless of the translation, they're incredibly delicious! These burritos are quite substantial and definitely pack a punch. You'll find the restaurant in El Monte on Peck Road, right next to a fire station, so it’s hard to miss! Réservez une table maintenant

Very simple and limited menu. I ordered the birria and chicken tinga burritos and it was absolutely delicious! The meats were juicy and the handmade tortillas were amazing. The burritos are small compared to the size that most of us are usually use to, but I was surprisingly full after eating two. If you have a big appetite, I would suggest ordering at least 3 burritos.
