Located in the outskirts of Kemptown, Busby Wilds is a hidden gem where I experienced the best steak I've ever had in Brighton. All of their ingredients are sourced locally, with a map on the wall showing where each ingredient comes from in Sussex and surrounding counties. The freshness and high quality of the ingredients truly shines through in the dishes. The steak was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious, accompanied by tasty chimichurri, a side salad, and perfectly cooked chips. Not our first visit by any means. My wife and a friend had between us a salad, the goujons, crab bisque, fish and chips and the burger. Included bottle of wine was a bonus! Most enjoyable! Atmosphere disturbed by a dog constantly banging a bone on the floor, about which its inconsiderate, moronic owner did nothing in spite of ours and people on adjacent tables glares. And no, I don’t hate dogs, far from it, but restaurants are not the places for them.
I found this restaurant to be a great discovery. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff were friendly, and the food was amazing. We were surprised at how well they catered to gluten-free dietary needs. This restaurant was the perfect way to start off our weekend getaway.
