We were a group of pilots traveling from Indiana to Florida and decided to stop at The Butcher Block. It was a wonderfully refreshing change from the usual fast food. I had chicken livers that were some of the best I’ve ever tasted, reminding me of my grandmother’s cooking! They were absolutely delicious with a great roasted chicken flavor. My mother-in-law tried the potato soup, and it definitely exceeded expectations. Though the portion was small, the flavor was outstanding. We couldn't resist finishing our meal with some cobbler, which was the perfect sweet ending. I took some photos to share on Facebook, and I’ll definitely stop by again next time I'm in the area!
As for the two waitresses, it's tough to assess their performance, especially given the current hiring challenges in our small town. Despite this, I wholeheartedly recommend dining here. Consider the service as just another part of the overall experience. The restaurant has a charming soda shop vibe, and there's something delicious for everyone on the menu.
I had one of the best burgers I've tasted in a long time, and the locals rave about the blue plate special, which includes a meat dish with 2-3 sides. If you're on a day trip to Monroe, GA, be sure to check this place out!
The food is more tasteless and unappetizing than raw tofu. It's a deli, so I didn't have high expectations for flavor, but it was even worse than I anticipated. The sandwiches are dry, especially the chicken. I don't know how they managed it, but even the salad is unpleasant. It's just leaves with dressing—how can that go wrong? The only decent item is the cucumber salad, but the portion is minuscule. I cannot recommend this place.
The food was good, but I had to switch tables! The air conditioning wasn’t functioning properly, and it was uncomfortably hot. After spending money on the all-you-can-eat fish, I couldn’t even enjoy my first dish because of the heat. I ended up leaving because I had trouble breathing, which was really frustrating.

You won't find a better deal for a steak salad and potato in town—only ten dollars! Similar steaks at other restaurants typically cost around twenty. The food is excellent, and the service is fantastic; the staff treats you like family!
1st time going and wow was it good!!! It was busy and the staff were working their tails off!!! Food was great, staff were AWESOME!!! Will definitely be back!!!! Oh the onion rings, were AMAZING!!!!!
The chop steak was good, and the green beans were decent for canned vegetables. However, the mashed potatoes with gravy were not very impressive; they tasted like cold instant potatoes.
Amazing burgers!!!! Onion rings are also really good, crunchy and not falling apart. Sweet tea is perfect. Literally everything on the menu is good, and the service is great.

Great food at reasonable prices. It has a cozy, homey atmosphere. Service can be inconsistent at times. There's a wide variety of options to choose from.
