Having visited Buttercream for afternoon tea before, I loved the cozy ambiance with its vintage theme. When we met Jean and Ruth, I felt immediately reassured that we were in capable hands. They are such warm and friendly individuals who take great pride and passion in their work. I wanted a place where I would feel a personal touch rather than a cold, corporate vibe, and Buttercream delivered just that. I enjoyed afternoon tea here to celebrate my grandmother's 91st birthday, and we had an amazing time. The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were fantastic. Honestly, I've never had a jacket potato that tasted as incredible as this one. The delightful flavors didn't stop there; the scones with jam and cream were also out of this world. The next time I'm in Hinckley, I will definitely make a point to visit again. This place truly deserves a 5-star rating!
I went for an afternoon tea with my other half and 7 year old. All staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious.They did an amazing job catering for my egg allergy and provided some tasty alternatives: cheese and tomato tart instead of quiche, jelly with cream instead of trifle and an egg free scone and cupcake along with finger sandwiches, salad, fruit and shortbread hearts. I will definitely be visiting again!
Excellent service . Went in for afternoon tea ,but hadn't booked . The ladies were lovely accommodating us . They didn't have what they normally servered so menu was slightly different . We had sandwiches ,quiche,salad,scones, mini trifle ,brownies,sponge cake all served with a big pot of tea and my other daughter had coffee . It was gorgeous. Came to the Buttercream Tearoom for the Peter Rabbit afternoon tea today and loved it! The staff were so friendly and so much thought and effort had gone into the food which was absolutely delicious. Both my children said they had a lovely time and we will definitely be back for lunch/afternoon tea soon. Thank you!
