We came in today and our server was overloaded. It wasn't her fault but it was almost possible to tend to a large table plus the other tables seated in her area. As an outsider it appeared there was help available but again that is just as an insider. She was kind and we appreciated her hard work. I hope she is recognized for that. The food is what the 2 stars are about. Very bland. The seafood all tasted the same that we ordered which is usually a negative sign of quality. The food at this restaurant deserves a solid 5-star rating! However, the service was a different story. From the moment we arrived, the host (a man and a woman) were unfriendly and rude, which was surprising for such a popular place. Our waiter, Taylor, was incredibly slow to greet us, and we waited an additional 20 minutes before we could even order our appetizers. When they finally arrived, the crab cakes and crawfish queso were delicious, but the chips were stale—quite frankly, they were inedible. ordered the alligator fingers and a cup of seafood gumbo. the gumbo was different, but so good. I wish I had ordered a bowl. the gatorfingers were also good, in any case reorder. we also had the cheese sticks, wow huge. had a bite from her burger, it was ok, needed salt. also had a bit of the fried steak, also very good. the place looks very cool, thinks bayou atmosphere. service was great and friendly. I would definitely stop while I went through waco.
Friendly environment. Outdoor seating available. Food is tasty. Nice selection on the menus. We started out with gator fingers. Tasty and fun to eat. Main meal was the trio dinner. Grilled shrimp, chicken breast, catfish, and vegetables. Deserts we had the bread pudding. Wanderfuly presented and wonderful taste. Located on the river. And across the street from the stadium.

I had a great experience at Buzzard Billy's! The customer service was excellent, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. The food was fantastic, and I particularly enjoyed the outdoor area with its lovely river view. We tried the darkened cable fish and the seafood platter, and everything was delicious! I highly recommend visiting Buzzard Billy's.
Great food with views of the Brazos River and unique bridge. Cajun inspired dishes are tasty. We had the Shrimp La Grange, boiled shrimp, and a shrimp Po-Boy. Enjoy a walk on the elevated walkway after dinner for great views of downtown, and the bridge. You'll need to work of some calories for sure!
Fun restaurant. Atmosphere was light and food was delicious. I will say there was some definite lag time on getting my cocktail and my bill. Would definitely recommend coming here. The mardi gras pasta and chicken fried steak were excellent. The Cinnarum martini!!!!
Great atmosphere, (short wait 20 min), drinks were good, oysters were too chewy/rubbery, actually weren't able to eat them. Etouffe was bland. Swamp soup was great and the hush puppies were amazing! Armadillo eggs were pretty good too.

Beautiful view there's dining in and an outside patio, staff was amazing and very prompt, food was surprisingly excellent! Can't wait to come back, good for large party's! Make sure to get their drinks and tip the staff!
