I always wanted to try this place out: today was the day. And it was a wrong one! I ordered “pancakes with fruits, whipped cream and maple syrup”.. from the pic as you can see.. there are missing half of the ingredients and those balls.. were not pancakes at all. Did you mean to sell “mini pancakes?” Fine. But those were round, not fluffy, the though was without taste ... I was served without cutlery. I waited a while, but nothing. What a **** awful experience. Popped in at about 11:40 for some Saturday Brunch. Was seated inside at the cleaner of the tables that there were. Most were streaked with food and crumbs and apparently had been like it a while. The server came across and gave the table a quick spray and wipe which got about 60% of the surface cleaner but missed a lot of crumbs and ketchup. I’ve never seen the like of it slapdash and useless. Was then presented with a grubby menu which actually, seemed quite appetising and came to a decision. I was very surprised when my salmon and eggs came.. It looked delicious.. My girls had full English.. It also looked amazing. The toasts were perfect. The whole experience was lovely. The service was very good, they are even dog friendly, so I could sit down inside with my two chihuahuas.. I highly recommend this cafe.. I will be returning with more friends
One of the strangest policies I’ve come across no laptops allowed. I was just about to spend a couple hours getting on with work but no possible now. Very good way of loosing business. Other than that sticky tables, and my flat white was a plain coffee with milk. Front of House were lovely management is the issue here.

We stopped here during our riverside walk and had coffee and a cake. It's reasonably priced and caters for vegan, vegetarian and serves gluten free food as well. There are a few tables outside on the pavement. The service was a bit slow but we were not in a hurry, however my partner's cake was a bit small!
great location, wonderful eating and friendly staff. the veggie breakfast was for a tasty healthy breakfast on site. recommend it and a nice walk along the themse tow path on the same side of the bridge as the caffe. it is quite magical with all trees and gives them another look at the thems!
The coffee at this restaurant is delicious and the staff gives a warm welcome. I particularly enjoy their strong Macchiato, which is lovely and not too bitter. The chocolate cake I tried two weeks ago was amazing. I can't wait to try their breakfast and brunch menu in the next day or two.
Don't be fooled by the dated mish-mash appearance of By The Bridge, their food is freshly prepared and consistently good. The staff can be a little reserved with their welcome and service but if it's a good bite to eat you are after, this can be a good choice.

I had dinner at this restaurant on Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food. The young lady playing classical guitar created a charming atmosphere. I will definitely be returning in the future.
Went in the evening, had lovely cocktails and great service.
