I’m happy because when I made the reservation I asked them not to let my fiancé know that others were joining us as it was a surprise and they honored that. The host was discreet and polite. The food and drinks were good. The entertainment was good although they advertised that the show would start at 8 pm, but it started at 9ish. DISLIKES: The server was arrogant, cynical, and made us feel like we didn’t belong there. I would state his name, but he didn’t even introduce himself. Make sure you are very clear on what you order because they like to switch up your selections and your bill comes out too expensive at the end. WE WILL NOT RETURN.
Sorry , but the food just wasn’t very good . We had take out so I can’t speak to service . The chicken and steak kabobs weren’t very good , meat had funny texture and flavor . The French fries had barely any potato flavor and tasted like they were reheated from day before , and when I reheated them next day , they tasted really old and couldn’t finish . The salad was pretty good . Hummus didn’t have much flavor , pita bread was on par with cheap grocery store variety . Ordered baklava and got the tiniest piece that was just ok. And it’s pretty expensive . I would give less stars if it wasn’t a small business, which I always try to root for
Have always enjoyed Lebanese cuisine since years ago living near the South End where there were several Lebanese restaurants like Red Fez, The Cedars Nadia's in the 1970s. Byblos was good when I dined there as recently as 2013 and I only take issue with the artichoke appetizer which left me practically choking on the spiny leaves. Nothing like my mother's tender stuffed baked artichokes so would definitely avoid those next time.
Lebanese cuisine was introduced to us in the best possible way. Meats and vegetables was extremely tasteful! Deserts that we were not able to eat after so great lunch, were taken home. Baclava and cookies no words to describe, so good. We met an owner and he told us this restaurant is here for more than 20 years. Highly recommend if you are in the area! Don't hesitate eat at Byblos! The hummus served here has no rival! The falafel are moist and well seasoned on the inside, warm and crispy on the outside. Sometimes I am tempted to order only falafel, but there are so many tasty options (like fattoush salad, grape leaves, baby gannoush, etc) we always order so much we have to take home the leftovers!
