cactus club is an upscale casual chain restaurant with locations especially in british columbia. the nanaimo location interieur is welcoming with dark wood throughout the environment and a large steinkamine in the middle. the sitting corner is available in a large escaping area, a lounge with high tables and clams and an outside terrace that is somewhat too close to the carbahn. besides non-vegan dishes, the menu sets vegetarian dishes that can be vegan and vegan-friendly choices. the vegan entrée selections include a lot of rice dishes and an impossible burger. I took my friend here to birthday and we had a great time! he got the jack daniels ripen and they were delicious, so tender and the sauce was amazing. I had a Cheddar bacon berry on a gluten-free bread (the bungalow was great) with sweet potato fryers. we were so happy with our eating, the atmosphere and the service. when the bill came, was less than we expected, so we were very happy. would recommend!

Very busy restaurant with lot of noise. Not recommend it if you want some privacy. Food was good but not something wow. We found moldy orange ? in our drink ? and we didn't pay for this drink, but shouldn't happen in a restaurant like this. We were little bit disappointed ?.

I'm not sure why I hadn't eaten here in the 12 years I've been in Nanaimo. The food and menu was excellent and the service was good. Nice patio and atmosphere.

Simple, good and consistent is the best way to sum it up. We love to stop by and have a burger or chicken on the way from Nanaimo.
