Café Abseits - Réservation de table

We were a group of English guys staying in Bamberg for a weekend of beer, sightseeing more beer. Bamberg is, of course, the centre of the universe for fans of beer brewing culture. One of our group found Cafe Abseits on the internet.. it was possibly the best find of the weekend. I contacted the proprietor prior to our arrival to warn him of a group of men in need of a hearty breakfast some local where to go info. When we arrived, tables were reserved for us we were warmly greeted by the owner who proceeded to tell us about the wonderful beer brewing heritage of Bamberg. I love Cafe Abseits. The beer selection is the widest you will find in Bamberg, with beers brewed in Bamberg but also beers brewed in the surrounding countryside at small but wonderful breweries. You will also find some beers from other parts of Germany (Schneider),...special beers brewed by Weyermann, and Belgian ales. Probably about taps (approx) and extensive bottle list. Other things I love: nice outdoor beer garden area if weather is nice, friendly staff, a varied menu with some German dishes (schnitzel) but also stuff like wings, burgers, tortellini, tex-mex, salads, and excellent pizza. Abseits does translate as apart secluded or remote Bamberg has a world culture heritage cityscape and so many many toursist visit it particularly in summer. Most of the central restaurants and guesthouses are crowded and very busy. If you´re willing to walk a while,...you will not only see more of the town, and how people live, but you may also come to this fine place. Abseits. The choice of beers made me enquire if there were guest rooms available (sadly not so) because I would not have minded staying here all evening, testing more variations of Franconian beers. In fact apart from me and my three companions there were none that evening ! This extremely busy backstreet bar is a short walk from the railway station in the opposite direction to the Altstadt and is most certainly worth seeking out. The beer...list is superb both in length and quality and there are many exotic selections both on draught and in bottles. Specialities include bottled Belgians and a selection of Wayermann (new to me beers in draught and bottles. We had eaten earlier but the food on offer looked tempting and if up to the standard of the beers sampled might have led me to a rating of excellent Still a anyway. This is my favorite place in Franconia. It is hard to find a place in Germany with so many different styles of beers available, the staff is friendly and the owner is super thoughtful. The food is also very good, the nachos, burgers and even...the pasta are really good. The environment is cozy and during the spring and summer, the biergarten is a good option to take a beer and relax.

we always like to go here! Whether with friends or as a family, dinner in the evening or later on 1, 2, 3 beer. In summer in the garden in winter indoors.But if there is no spontaneous visit you should reserve the offside is always well visited.

Place out of historical city center. Nice atmosphere, great owner real beerlover and specialist. Tasty food. Cafe Abseits is mandatory for everyone who loves good beer.

Comme je pense que son nom l'indique, cet endroit est un peu hors des sentiers battus, mais ne vous laissez pas décourager de faire le trek. Ils ont un fabuleux ..
