On a Saturday night, I decided to come here on a whim. Called up to make a reservation and the hostess told me she would have a table for 2 for myself and my partner ready. (I specifically asked her if I was able to get a table for four, because I did notwant to be sitting on top of other people, and feeling like they were part of my party) which she agreed. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Cafe Buenos Aires. I do think that their prices are a tad steep, but for a once in a while visit the quality of the food makes up for it. The abonigas had great texture and the sauce had a delicious flavor. Thegnocchi/scallop tapa was a great pairing fluffy gnocchi and very lightly fried scallops. My girlfriend loved the branzinospecial and I found the skirt steak to be nicely seasoned. The chimichurri is a little different from what I have had before (alittle spicier perhaps? , but still quite good. I finally tried this place after living here for 20 years lol! We bagan with empanadas, those were small for five bucks, it was like 3 bites, but they were pretty flavorful bites. We also had the mixed grill and it was very good except for the bloodsausage, that was...not good! My only complaint is that the veggies and fries that come with the meat are on the smaller side ofthings. I ran out of veggies and fries to eat with the amount of meat i was given, oops! I also ordered a cocktail and it was sostrong so be careful with the drinks there! service was a little slow and they did apologize for being short staffed. Food really stands out here. The waitress said the Paella is one of the best things on the menu. We thought it was so worth it. Our waitress, Isabel, was friendly and on point all evening. I gave atmosphere 4 stars as this has been a busy neighborhood staple for years, and it kinda shows. Don't let that stop you tho, experience was so enjoyable. Réservez une table maintenant
