A charming coffee cooperative located in downtown Chicoutimi, this spot is a great place to visit and enjoy. They take pride in using local ingredients and offering fair trade coffee. I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and found a diverse crowd, including many students, which is expected in a university town like Chicoutimi. I ordered the pulled BBQ tofu sandwich and an iced coffee frappé. The frappé was deliciously sweet, creamy, and frothy, and it didn’t get diluted since it wasn't overloaded with ice like other frappés or iced coffees. They serve fair-trade coffee, which is great for those who want to support the farmers behind their exceptional coffee beans. With beautiful decor, a welcoming staff, and excellent prices, it's definitely worth a visit.
This is hands down the best vegan breakfast burrito I've ever tasted! The coffee was served in a bowl, adding a charming French touch, and my soy latte was absolutely delicious. The potatoes accompanying the burrito were packed with flavor—I didn't even need ketchup! Make sure to try the hot sauce with the burrito; it's not overly spicy but full of flavor with subtle hints of chipotle, and it's made locally at a nearby spot.
