Lovely little cafe and such a shame as it could be so different.. It’s all there with style and the large windows the pretty outside space.. I so very much want places like this to thrive but I can’t help feeling every time I give them another chance I’m justified by how I feel. We ordered scones for brunch as there were very little else sweet wise to choose from. Apparently they were hosting an event the day before. When they arrived it was almost like the left overs from that event! Tiny in size! Just one miniature out of a packet scone so it seemed) for a premium price. Almost embarrassingly so.. The service haphazard and not what you’d expect from a place with uphill pricing. I’m sad to...

I visited the restaurant yesterday on the 4th of August around 1:30pm. It was not very busy. I ordered 2 coffees, 3 bottles of diet coke, 1 scone, and 2 brownies. The coffees came first, followed by the scone 10 minutes later. After asking about the diet cokes, they eventually arrived as well. Unfortunately, there was only one brownie available, so we had to share it. We spent about an hour there in total, which was frustrating due to the slow service and the food and drinks being brought out separately. My tip would be to bring all items together so customers can enjoy their meal together. Additionally, I found the price of £3.50 for a 330ml bottle of coke to be quite expensive. Overall, th...

Unfriendly! We were courteously seated and had every intention of enjoying a light lunch but for reasons personal to myself, we had to leave before giving our order. With apologies to the waitress we made our way back through the courtyard and I felt I had to use the toilet. On exiting, a waspish blond woman hissed ‘that will be 10p’ and my waiting daughter had been told that it was rude to use the facilities without ordering. I would say please don’t judge your clientele or if you feel you must, keep your comments to yourself. Can you really afford to alienate people?

We stopped by for coffee and cake on a Sunday afternoon. There wasn't a wide selection of cakes, so my husband asked if they had toasted teacakes. The young server said yes, but what he brought out was not a teacake at all - it was two slices of a fruit slab with butter. My husband was not impressed with it. When we mentioned the mistake while paying, the young man said he didn't know. The total bill came to over £16, so we won't be returning. It's a shame because the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere.
