We have eaten here about 5 times int he last 6 months. Every time, we find it a great experience and come away wondering why we dont go more often.Hosts - always friendly (they recognise us now!) and always very personal serviceFood - a simple menu - but always beautifully presented. Lots of cheese! The steak is excellent and the 3 pepper sauce with it is fantastic. Price - for Switzerland, pretty good. Ambience - very traditional and homelyI thoroughly recommend this restaurant

In the midst of all the tourist traps in Villars serving mediocre food at high prices, this restaurant is a gem. After numerous visits, we have never been disappointed at the Cafe des Alpes. Serving high quality food (tartare, fois gras, confit de canard) and a well rounded wine selection featuring the best quality local wines they have always provided an enjoyable experience and are a restaurant that i would recommend without hesitation.

Great ambience with delicious food. Salad with goat cheese was plentiful and tasty. Staff was very nice. They didn't speak much English but we figured it out through charades :)
