Having eaten our salad filled sandwiches. My Husband went to eat the side salad. He noticed a cluster of small black (40+) Insect eggs on one of the leaves. Knowing the cafe had great reviews we called the waiter to alert the Manager. The waiter returned some 5 mins later telling us not to worry and walked off!!! I asked to take a photo as we were traveling the next day and was concerned if we had got ill, I could then identify said items. The Manager then made himself known to us. He told us the chefs and himself prodded said item and it was plastic so he thew it away!!! I'm not sure what's worse ....posssible eating unknown eggs or choking on a piece of plastic and the establishment wasn't...
We have visited many times before. We really enjoy being able to sit quietly, enjoy a cup of coffee and a light lunch while reading the newspaper. Today I enjoyed mushrooms on toast. Fabulous and my wife the corn fritters. All very nice. We were attended by a very friendly and attentive waitress who made sure all was good. My only criticism is serving iced coffee in a jar. Absolutely hate that and it cheapens the whole experience. Also, they need to learn how to make iced coffee. They fail miserably on that. Next visit will be tea. Otherwise, enjoy coming here and will return.
I routinely go back to this place whenever I am shopping in St Ives Shopping Village. I also take people visiting St Ives when we want a quick bite to eat. The service is fantastic and they will try hard to please. Plenty of seating and the prices are good. The BLAT (avo included) is awesome as are the fries and coffee which I generally get. The only disadvantage is that this place is in the shopping center so there is no scenery to take in.
There are many cafes in the St Ives Village shopping complex. JJ's is one of the best. Service is good and there's a nice feel about, whether you sit inside or out. One thing they are really good at is there seafood pasta. A delicious sauce sets this dish apart from other cafes in the centre. Reasonably priced, they have a good menu whether it is for breakfast or lunch.

We tried this cafe for the first time for a breakfast. In the past they served Vittoria coffee (which is mainstream) and now they changed to Pablo & Rusty's which is specialty coffee.My triple shot large cappuccino was full of flavour.The breakfast dishes were also "spot on".Thanks for changing coffee supplier
Three and a half stars. We received very good service from our tall, young waitress. The soup of the day (pea and ham) was unusual as it was very thin. It was reasonable. The melt and bacon and egg of the two other diners was good. The place was well patronised but still quiet and it was nice and warm.
Menu is good range , at first glance , appear to have standard menu.. .. Dishes are well portioned , with distinct flavours . Consistently well delivered . Prices is fair . Staff is attentive .
It wasn't very busy but our 2 coffees took almost 20 minutes to be delivered to our table. Well located in the shopping centre with a nice buzz around the place

Great breakfast and lunch, nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Generous servings, would recommend the breakfast stacks!
We had a great experience at Cafe Di JJ... their food was so delicious and the service was great too!
