Cafe fixe has some of the best espresso drinks I have ever had. Their cappuccino has the perfect amount of milk and has a beautiful complex and smooth coffee flavor. I appreciate their dislike of people setting up their laptops and occupying tables for a long time, as this is a coffee shop and not your personal office. They have very limited seating and I think it should be reserved for people to go out and socialize over a cup of coffee. The inside of this shop is clean and minimalist and they have a very nice espresso machine. The self serve water station is also a big plus and very considerate.
I couldn't be happier that I finally stopped into Cafe Fixe! First off- the espresso is excellent. Best Barrington I've had all over Mass. I got an espresso, an espresso and tonic and a mocha. All three were excellent in their own way. The espresso and tonic may be the stand out- the top shelf tonic and the great espresso made for the best drink I've had in 2020, easily. The mocha was on point too- not too sticky sweet, great flavor. Next, 8oz drinks!! I've been looking for a cafe that served 8oz drinks for over a year now and I've finally found it! This is my new go to when I'm anywhere near by.
What a sweet little neighborhood cafe. All the staff is always friendly and their coffees are good quality. I am so happy to see it survive through the pandemic!
Great place to get a cup of coffee and relax for a few or get on the go. Everyone is friendly. You get your coffee pretty quickly. Glad we have good coffee...

Great coffee and pastries. It got crowded when we were leaving, but we got a nice seat seat at the window before 8 am. The barista was not friendly at all...
The coffee is superb (and strong). The limited chocolates and pastries on sale are also fabulous. If you know and love coffee, go here.
The owner kept looking at me. I know I was upsetting him somehow but I couldn't stop laughing. That seemed to irk him even more.
The guy who works here knows how to make an excellent (and consistent) espresso!
