We stopped in for dessert and coffee during our day of sightseeing. Very charming bakery - staff were friendly. We placed our dessert order downstairs, and proceeded upstairs to sit and relax. The staff upstairs took our beverage orders and brought our desserts.Lovely place - exactly what you hope for when looking for the European "dessert and coffee" experience. I ordered a cherry strudel which was absolutely delicious!

On our recent trip to Rothenburg, we started every morning with a stop at Cafe Friedel for breakfast pastries and tea. We ate outside each morning and got the full flavor of the coming and goings of the local residents before the tourist arrived. A great way to start the day. Highly recommend.
