the weing “Zum Powderer” stands on the inside of the burgtor. we were looking for such a rustic traditional hoist to get familiar with the Franconian cuisine and the local wine. ambience cleanliness the interieur corresponds to what one imagines among a weinbar. many dark wood, stable tables and chairs as well as wooden benches on the walls. tonkrüge auf regalen, alte fotos an der wanden und ein fluofen in der mitte, to have warm in winter. everything somewhat yellowed and dusty, but somehow spontaneously sympathetic. in front of the house there are some tables on the outskirts where you can enjoy beautiful weather and see passing tourist. cleanliness was good. This place was recommended to me and after I looked at the menu I was a little concerned as it didn't look that exciting to me. However we were absolutely blown away by the quality, taste and pretty much everything. For myself and my family including teenage kids we all 100% loved it. Service was also outstanding. A cosy and warm atmosphere too. When I come back to Rothenberg we'll definitely come back to this restaurant. Well done to the chef, waitress and management.

The food was very delicious and the prices are really appropriate. Some dishes are even smaller, perfect for my companion. All in all, we were very satisfied, two small drops of arms were that we had to wait a long time and the wrong wine was served. Eating in itself deserves 5 stars. Price per person: €30–40

Excellent friendly staff! Almost all tables were reserved, but they still seated us inside. The food was excellent, exactly what I needed after a long bike ride! Prices were better than most in Rothenburg.
